Managing Trustee, Sri Ayyappa Educational Trust
70th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Sri Ayyappa Polytechnic College campus playground on 26th January 2019, Saturday.
Trust members and Guests were presided to the flag hoisting ceremony by our NSS team. The program started by 8.15 a.m. with the invocation song (thamizh thai vazhthu).
Mr. T. Nirmal kumar, Lecturer, Department of Mathematics, took up the duty of gracing the day by his compering and welcomed the Management Trustees, Principals, staff and students.
After the welcome address, the National flag was hoisted by the Correspondent of Sri Ayyappa Educational trust. The students saluted the National flag; college choir team sang Patriotic Tamil ‘flag song’ and pledged to up hold the honour and integrity.
The Republic day speech was delivered by Mr. S. Balu, Principal of SAPC. He spoke eloquently about our diverse nation, Unity in diversity and the relevance of the Constitution and the Preamble. On this auspicious occasion, he addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indians. Also he gave an idea about Job opportunities available in various sectors for the diploma students by 2020. He insisted to the students to make the campus as a plastic free campus for safe environment.
At the end of the programme Mr. M. Ramesh (HOD/Basic) delivered the vote of thanks.
The celebration came to an end by singing the National anthem.
Sweets were distributed to guests, staff and students.
